Trick-or-Treat

The Carving

I love the Fall time and especially pumpkins. So I was thrilled to watch Russell dig into the pumpkins and enjoy the goo on his hands! Good job, Bear! Now if I can just get him to enjoy the roasted pumpkin seeds next year I will really him hooked!

First Time For Everything...

What is so "new" and "first time" for Russell you ask...? Was it his new haircut today? No. Was it sitting with Daddy at night time bottle? No. Look closer....

It's the HUGE bruised bump on his forehead! A first for him! Phew! Guess we've finally been initiated into toddlerhood. He's had plenty of bruised knees, thighs, and arms and even heads. But the bump with the bruise is worth way more points! Best part, he hardly shed a tear over the incident that left the mark!

Of note: On Sunday, Russell fell off our ottoman and cut his upper lip and gum. It bled. A good amount. Another first. :) I love this age!

Hood River 2011

We packed up Friday early afternoon for our annual trip to Hood River Fruit Loop. Russell and I were rather sick, but we tried to enjoy ourselves. Brian had an in-service day, so we tried to put it to good use. I think Russell did better than I did...
The boy continues to love farm animals (sorry Brian), especially of the goat and sheep kind. Hopefully I can steer him towards horses! :)
We visited a few "new to us" stops along the Fruit Loop. Two were keepers, one we will pass on next year. Always fun to explore every year. It's been a tradition for 8 years now. Wow! When did that happen?

California Pumpkin Patch

Finding the perfect pumpkin with Auntie Nana (my Mom's Sister) and Cousin Tucker (6 weeks younger).
Russell had a blast petting the goats. I had the hardest time trying to get a picture with his face in it! He chased the goats and fed them... I think that was a major high-light for him!
Riding a wooden rocking horse...I'll make him a cowboy yet! :) Sorry, Brian!
